The demanding role of the athlete has caused coaches and trainers to expand the traditional training and conditioning regimes to include mobility, recovery and pliability techniques. My D1 college and high school clients are quick to recognize that by adding sport and position-specific yoga postures, myofascial release through the use of Yoga Tune-Up® balls, Somatic mobility exercises, breath and meditation practices they enhance their physical performance and mental game.

I have been the yoga coach for a number of high school/college sports teams and individual athletes in Ventura County. A student of yoga for over 18 years, and a yoga educator for the past seven years teaching students of all ages and in various – from pre-school to seniors, for youth organizations like Girl and Boy Scouts, yoga classes for Physical Education for high schools, and for the County of Ventura Wellness Program. I teach weekly at my private home studio, and at EPIC Fitness in Simi Valley. I serve as the current Director of Student-Athlete Wellness and Recovery for the Moorpark High School boys basketball program. A faculty member for the Yoga Nook Teacher Training program and I am also certified to teach Power Yoga for Sports™ live trainings through Gwen Lawrence’s registered yoga school (RYS) located in New York.

I utilize a variety of methods to get the best results for my athletic clients to complement their training and performance. I also teach workshops on mindfulness meditation, breath mechanics, and mind-body awareness techniques to help with the mental side of sports and life.

I’m a self-proclaimed anatomy, neuroscience, movement junkie that never has enough time to learn everything I want to learn about sports and the human body.
